Why was the foundation created?

A foundation is a legal entity that offers financial, fundraising and tax advantages for donors who wish to support its charitable goals.
The Country Club of Buffalo Foundation is organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. Its status as a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization was approved by the Internal Revenue Service on March 11th  2025.

What is the mission of the foundation?

To preserve and protect the Country Club of Buffalo’s old and historic buildings and the original Donald Ross designed golf course located in Williamsville, New York in order to perpetuate the architectural, historic, and general cultural heritage of the property.

Is my donation tax deductible?

The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization so donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law. 

Can I sponsor or donate to a specific project?

Yes, donations may be made toward specific use and individual projects.
